Roy Clinton Seeley – Hal Calvin
At Alexandria The banquet room of Hotel Alexandria was the scene of a pretty wedding last evening at 9:15 o'clock, when Rev. Baker P. Lee performed the nuptial service for Miss Hal Calvin, daughter of Mrs. Ida Calvin of Pittsburg, Pa., and Roy Clinton Seeley, son of Mrs. Charles R. Drake of 2633 Hoover street. The rooms were decorated with white roses and ferns and the couple stood against a mass of palms and ferns. The bride wore a handsome princess gown of white chiffon cloth trimmed with lace and a long tulle veil was caught in her hair with a wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of lilies of the valley. Her only attendant was the bridegroom's sister, Miss Pearl Seeley, who wore white lace and carried a shower of maidenhair ferns. Kingsley Macomber was the best man. Mrs. Drake wore a princess gown of white moussellne and lace embroidered in silver. The wedding music was played by the Hungarian orchestra and they also gave a program of popular airs during the wedding supper, which followed the ceremony. The bride's traveling gown was of cream and brown cloth and she wore a hat to match. Mr. and Mrs. Seeley have gone to Salt Lake for a wedding trip and later they will go to Portland, Ore., where they will make their home. Published in the Los Angeles Herald, April 26, 1906
