Warren William Seeley – Emma Margaret Canfield | |
Canfield – Seeley Wedding A wedding took place at noon New Year’s day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Canfield, near Columbia Crossroads, when their eldest daughter, Emma Margaret, was married to Warren William, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Seeley of Knoxville. Miss Helen Freeman, of Washington, D.C., was bridesmaid, and William Canfield, Jr., was best man. Miss Alice Canfield, a sister of the bride, played the bridal chorus from Lohengrin, and the ceremony was performed by Rev. Mr. Hess, of Rutland. The house was very prettily decorated with red and green suggestive of the holiday season. The bride was attired in white satin with pearl trimmings and carried a bouquet of bride’s roses. The bridesmaid’s dress was of blue chiffon taffeta and she carried pink roses. A dinner was served following the ceremony to forty guests; twelve being seated at the bride’s table. Mrs. Seeley is well known and has many friends, returning recently from Washington, D.C., where she had a position with the government. Mr. Seeley is a farmer and a very popular young man. They left by auto from their wedding trip to various points. The best wishes of a host of friends are extended. – Mansfield Advertiser.
