Miss Joan Carolyn Scott Weds William Jay Seely

Miss Joan Carolyn Scott and William Jay Seely were married Friday evening in the home of the bride’s uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Scott, 3812 Holliday. The officiant was the Rev. R.C. Campbell of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack R. Scott, 715 South Marlborough, are the bride’s parents, and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin T. Seely, 722 Edgemont, are the bridegroom’s parents.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a pink silk dress. She carried an orchid atop a Bible.

Miss Shirley LaPointe and Bill Armet of Los Angeles, Calif., were honor attendants. Miss Sylvia Bryant was the musician.

The reception was in the W.A. Scott home. After a wedding trip to Lake Murray, Okla., the couple will live at 232 South Marsalis.
