Charles W. Seelye – Lena E. Tarpley

HOSPITAL WEDDING – “For better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health –“ those solemn words meant everything to Marine Sgt. Charles W. Seelye, Dallas, and WAC Cpl. Lena E. Tarpley, Kent, Culberson County, who were married at the Norman (Okla.) Naval Hospital in a ceremony which provoked the unashamed tears of a solemn little group of observers. Sergeant Seelye is recovering from multiple wounds received at Tinian. Mrs. J.L. Seeley, his mother, was matron of honor. Chaplain Phillip Murray performed the wedding ceremony. The best man came in on crutches.
