Emma Corner SEELY Emma Corner Seely Emma Corner Seely, 70, of Salem, died Friday. She was born in South Dakota and raised in Michigan. She moved to Oregon in 1937 from Nemo, S.D. She moved to McMinnville in 1945 and Salem in 1972. She worked as a railroad cook for 11 years before retiring. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge and McCabe Methodist Church. She was involved in Red Cross and Community center activities. Survivors include son, Raymond D., Bullhead, Ariz.; daughters, Hope Compagna, Portland, Darlene D’Hoedt, Susanville, Calif., Marlene Jackman, McMinnville, and Karon Wensel, Bethel, Alaska; brothers, Walter, Henry and Paul Arp, all of Traverse City, Mich., Raymond Arp, Roseburg, and Oscar Arp, Portland; and sister Clara Douglas, Nisland, S.D. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Macy & Son mortuary. Interment follows at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family suggests contributions to the Emma Seely Memorial Fund.
